We started on Instagram, not in an agency.
An independent service for students, PhD candidates, junior doctors and Erasmus students looking for a place in Pavia.
How it started
It started with an Instagram account and a problem we knew well: finding a decent room in Pavia is a lottery. The good listings circulate in closed groups, agencies want a month's rent in commission to show you flats you would have found yourself, and anyone arriving from out of town starts out knowing nobody.
So we began posting the rooms students told us about. Then came the WhatsApp community, and with it the contract questions, the takeovers from people leaving on Erasmus, the flatmate groups thrown together in September when nothing was left.
Today we are a place where people looking for a room and people leaving one find each other without paying anybody for it. We have no office in the centre and we do not want one.

What we do
Free listings
Rooms, beds and whole flats. Posting is free and contacting whoever posted is free. There is no paywall in between.
Takeovers
Whoever is leaving a room finds a replacement inside the community. With the landlord's agreement they avoid paying months of notice they will never use. For whoever is looking it is an opportunity: furnished rooms, often cheap, free immediately.
Private Group
Ten euros, once. We stay with you from the search to the signature, keep you away from scams, and put flatmate groups together so you can reach entire flats you would not get on your own.
How we keep the lights on
On the €10 from the Private Group, and nothing else. We take no commission from landlords, we do not sell places at the top of the results and we do not charge for posting a listing. If that ever changes, we will write it here before anywhere else.
What we are not
We are not an estate agency: we do not represent landlords and we take no cut of the rent. We are not an automated portal: a person reads every listing before it goes live. And we are not the University.

The name refers to the university world because UNIPV students are our audience, but we have no official relationship with the university: no agreement, no endorsement, no recognition.
